Passage, released in 1977, would be the last Carpenter album to be relased until Made In America in 1981. After this album, both Karen and Richard were spent emotionally and physically and needed a break from the constant touring and studio recording. I have an idea this album is not popular with every Carpenters admirer, which has something to do crass it it may sound with why I sought it out. And I have absolutely no regrets that I did seek it out. Absolutely non. Listen free to Carpenters Passage B'wana She No Home, All You Get From Love Is A Love Song and more. 8 tracks 39:44. Released in October 1977 when the world was going punk, Carpenters still made the plushest pop. Passage includes some of the Carpenters most ambitious productions of all time, among them their cover of Canadian band Klaatus Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft. The single came out in late September 1977 and was recorded on the A&M soundstage in Los Angeles, featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, who, for contractual reasons, were referred to as the Overbudget Philharmonic, in Passages liner notes
