Musikalbum

Smile is the sixth studio album by American rock band The Jayhawks, released on May 9, 2000. It reached number 129 on the Billboard 200 and number 14 on Billboard's Top Internet Albums chart. Smile marks a move away from the band's long-time alt-country stylings to a more pop approach. Smile - The Jayhawks. Лента с персональными рекомендациями и музыкальными новинками, радио, подборки на любой вкус, удобное управление своей коллекцией. Almost half of Smile's songs feature looped percussion, overdubbed drum tracks, or flat-out, funky backbeats. Little blips of sound skitter underneath the mostly acoustic guitars on the wistful What Led Me to This Town and make Queen of the World a worthy candidate for a dance remix if the Jayhawks were ever to consider such a thing. And this album, Smile, starts off like it could be their most Sunday album to date. It opens with an acoustic strum, a decremental piano bar, another acoustic strum, and again, a decremental piano, this time mimicked by an electric guitar in the background. Wake up Put your shoes on, sings frontman Gary Louris. If hardcore Mark Olson-era Jayhawks' fans felt betrayed by the dark pop of 1997's Sound of Lies, they'll be downright vigilant after hearing Smile. A handful of other songs rely on looped beats that are, in some cases, sped up to the point where they approach hip-hop Somewhere in Ohio or even drum- n-bass In My Wildest Drums. Written by Gary Louris, from the album of the same name 2000. Lyrics Wake up, put your shoes on Take a breath of the northern air And rub those Jayhawks : Smile,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. Genre: Alt-Country. But, often times I am lifted by the lyrics and accompanying musical phrasing that distinguishes The Jayhawks from so many other artists of this genre. Smile is a mellow ride and easy listen. It has endured the test of time, at least in my library and for this I am a loyal fan. Or consider a donation 72. The Jayhawks - Smile 2000. To favorites 0 Download album. Listen album.
